Gunmen attack pro-coalition commander’s home in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Tribal militants launched armed attack targeting the house of commander of Bihan axis of Saudi-led coalition forces in Al-Jouba district, south of Marib city, on Thursday.

Local sources said that violent clashes erupted between armed groups on one side and guarding of the house of Brigadier General Mufreh Buhaibah” on the other hand, in Al-Jouba.

The clash comes against the backdrop of the militants’ attempts to loot the weapons stores in Buhaibah’s house, which coincided with the advance of Sanaa forces on the north of Marib city of Marib.

The clashes led to a number of deaths and injuries on both sides, the sources added.

This is not the first time that the coalition warehouses being looted by tribal gunmen groups, as the coalition camps in the province have previously been subjected to similar operations during the past months.
