Security officer assassinated in Abyan

ABYAN, April 07 (YPA) – A security officer loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces was killed by unknown gunmen in Abyan province, south of Yemen, according to sources.

The sources affirmed that the gunmen opened on Tuesday fire towards the officer, Hadi Mohsen Saeed, while he was passing Al-Quoz Junction in Mudiyah district.

The source explained that the gunmen, who are believed to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda elements, seized the officer’s car and fled.

The assassination and liquidation operations between the Saudi-led coalition factions have escalated for the past few days in Abyan.
