STC calls on UAE launch military strike on Islah militants in Shabwa

SHABWA, Oct. 15 (YPA) – A senior leader in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Thursday called on the UAE forces to launch a military strike on the Islah Party militants in Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

Waddah bin Attiah, a member of the so-called “Southern National Assembly, said on Twitter that “Emirati forces have the right in Balhaf area to bomb any militia near the Balhaf facility.”

“The Islah’s control of the Balhaf facility aimed to facilitate the smuggling of weapons from Turkey and Iran, he added.
