8 people killed in Afghanistan bombing

SANAA, Oct. 5 (YPA) –  At least eight people were killed and 30 others wounded when a car bomb targeted the convoy for governor of Laghman province in eastern Afghanistan.

The blast took place in eastern Laghman province’s capital, Mehtarlam, Afghanistan’s interior ministry said on Monday.

The  ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said four of Yarmal’s bodyguards had been killed in the bombing.

He added that  the wounded included 28 civilians and two other guards.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Both the Taliban and Daesh are active in the area.
