Education Ministry announces start of new school year

SANAA, Oct. 4 (YPA) – The Ministry of Education in Sanaa announced on Saturday the start of the new school year 2020-2021 on October 17, provided that the registration and transfer in public and private schools will begin Sunday, October 4.

The Minister of Education, Yahya Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, stressed the necessity of regular attendance by educational bodies in all school levels on October 10.

The Education Minister referred that the school days would be five days a week according to the school calendar that was issued by the ministry.

According to the school calendar, the final exams for the first school semester begin on Saturday, January 23, 2021, and the second semester start on February 6, 2021, while the final transfer exams for all school levels begin on June 5.
