Water projects worth nearly 2 bln riyals opened in Mahweet

MAHWEET, Aug. 8 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqboli and Minister of Water and Environment Nabil al Wazir on Saturday inaugurated 30 projects in the field of water and environmental sanitation in Mahweet province at a total cost of 803,103,000 riyals.

These projects, financed by donors, cover the needs of the population in rural areas of the province in the water projects field, from which 92,792 people will benefit.

Dr. Maqboli and al-Wazir, along with Minister of State and Governor of the province, also laid the foundation stone for 37 water projects with a total cost of 1,176,300,000 riyals.

These projects include areas of improving water sources, completing and rehabilitating projects with solar energy, as well as in the field of environmental sanitation, which approximately 140,673 residents of the targeted districts and areas benefit from.
