Yemeni riyal keeps stability in Sanaa, decline in southern provinces

SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal on Sunday witnessed a relative stability after sharp drop in the southern provinces, influenced by the tension between armed factions loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Abyan province.

The riyal exchange rate in Aden province reached 707 riyals per dollar, while in Hadramout province recorded 701 riyals per dollar.

Meanwhile, the riyal exchange rate preserved its stability in the capital Sanaa at 601 riyals per dollar, while the average price of dollar on the black market reached 605 riyals.

The price of one dollar in the Central Bank of Yemen in the capital Sanaa continued at 250 riyals, and in other Yemeni banks in the capital it remains stable at 440 riyals.
