12 killed due to floods in Iran

SANAA, March 25 (YPA) – Heavy rains in various regions of Iran caused floods in several Iranian provinces that killed 12 people and left many others missing, officials said.

Iranian emergency services spokesman Mojtaba Khalidi confirmed that 12 people were killed and two other missing due to floods

“Eleven of the 31 provinces included in Iran have experienced heavy rains,” Khalidi said, noting that ” Heavy rainfalls hit several Iranian provinces, including Fars, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan in the southern parts of the country

“Relief operations are continuing in the affected areas,” he added.
