Water Minister discusses IOM’s interventions in water, environment field

SANAA, Feb. 12 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment, Nabil al-Wazir on Tuesday discussed in Sanaa with the International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s Resident Representative Christa Rottensteiner the organization’s interventions in the field of water and environmental sanitation.

The meeting dealt with aspects related to providing drinking water to the internally displaced persons affected by the aggression in several camps in the country, as well as the coordination between the Ministry and the organization to finance and implement projects during 2020 according to the need plane.

At the meeting, al-Wazir confirmed the Ministry’s keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the organization and provide all facilities for the success of its activities.

He indicated to the importance of expanding the organization’s interventions in line with the scale of the need and the difficult circumstances left by the aggression and the blockade.
