Newspaper reveals Al-Islah party’s plan to bring down Abyan

SANAA, Feb. 4 (YPA) – An Arab newspaper  on Monday revealed the plan of the “Islah Party” to bring down the areas under the control of the UAE-backed militias, in the province of Abyan, southern Yemen.

In its editorial, the Egyptian ” Elfagr newspaper” confirmed that there is a mutual coordination between the leaders of the Islah and elements of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, to bring down the city of Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan, which was taken over by militias of the Southern Transitional Council, in August 2019, the Egyptian.”

The newspaper pointed out that the Islah Party, which recruited elements of the organization from Marib and Jawf, in order to make the coalition busy with side battles.

It added that the Islah militia is working to delay the implementation of the “Riyadh Agreement”, which is scheduled to be implemented compulsorily on February 5th.

On Monday, Qasim Askar, the head of the foreign affairs committee in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council revealed decisive measures the council would take after the end of the time period to implement the “Riyadh Agreement” on February 5.

“The council’s military and political plan would be implemented after February 5, if there are no other regional or international solutions agreed to by the council,” Askar told “Russian Sputnik Agency” on Sunday.

Askar vowed to remove Islah Party militants, who are loyal to Hadi’s government, from all the southern provinces.
