Over 70 bodies of prisoners, detainees buried in presence of ICRC: Prisoners’ Committee

SANAA, Dec. 3 (YPA) – Member of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs Ahmed Abu Hamraa on Tuesday said the committee buried more than 70 bodies of prisoners and detainees killed by Saudi-led coalition airstrikes in early September in the presence of ICRC representatives.

Abu Hamraa confirmed the committee’s readiness to cooperate with the families of prisoners and detainees in case the bodies were identified and hand them over to them.

Regarding the prisoners released from Saudi prisons, Abu Hamraa said that they had been subjected to the most horrible methods of torture by the jailers.

He added that “one of the wounded remained untreated for five years and was tortured by the jailers in his wounds.”
