UAE-backed STC’s security checkpoints attacked in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Unknown militants waged on Saturday an attack against several security checkpoints established by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, sources said.

The sources affirmed that the militants attacked the checkpoints in Ahwar and al-Mahfad district.

According the sources, the STC militias deployed heavily in the perimeter of the districts in the wake of the armed attack on the checkpoints.
