Laudar electricity plant workers in Abyan go on strike

ABAYAN, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Workers of Laudar power plant in Abyan province on Sunday went on strike and completely stopped the plant in protest at their salaries being not paid by the Public Electricity Corporation.

The employees stopped working because of some violations in the electricity management that have brought the power plant and its staff to this stage, sources working at the station said.

A meeting was held with head of the union committee of electricity workers, who explained many of the problems and demands that were not implemented in light of the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militias over the province, the sources added.
