SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths praised the results of his meeting with  the leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi on Monday.

He said on Twitter that he had a constructive meeting with Abdelmalik Al Houthi earlier today and they discussed efforts to defuse tensions in Yemen and to prepare the ground for the resumption of the political process.

During the meeting, Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on Monday said that the option of aggression and blockade would not bring peace to Yemen and the region.

Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that the current stage Yemen is going through and the catastrophic effects left by the Saudi-led coalition aggression and siege “have proved that the military option and economic blockade cannot achieve peace in Yemen or in the region.

He stressed the importance of stopping the aggression, lifting the siege completely and conducting urgent humanitarian treatments at various levels, especially in the file of prisoners and detainees.
