Prisoners Affairs Committee liberates 9 prisoners of army

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs Abdulqader Al-Mortada on Wednesday said the committee had succeeded in liberating nine prisoners of the army and popular committees in two exchange deals.

The two exchanges took place on Jawf and Lahj fronts through local mediation, al-Mortada added in a statement.

He revealed Last Wednesday that five prisoners from the army and popular committees were freed in an exchange deal through local mediation in the west coast front.

Last month, al-Mortada announced that the committee liberated 14 prisoners of the army and popular committees in exchange prisoner deals through local mediation in west coast, Jawf and Bayda fronts.
