Supreme Political Council warns coalition countries of failing peace initiative

SANAA, Oct. 2 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council chaired by Mahdi al-Mashat on Wednesday warned in its meeting the Saudi-led aggression coalition of failure of peace initiative.

The council renewed Yemen’s readiness to achieve peace as the real step for the stability and development of the region.

It referred to the international positions expressed at various levels towards the peace initiative, which includes stopping drone and missile attacks towards Saudi Arabia, calling the coalition to take a comparable step in ending the aggression and lifting the siege on Yemen.

On the other hand, the council congratulated the Yemeni people, army and popular forces’ triumphs in capptyred thousands of the coalition fighters, including Saudi soldiers and seizing hundreds of military vehicles and weapons in Najran province.

In addition, member of the council discussed the political efforts exerted by the UN envoy for Yemen to resume in restoring the political process and resuming negotiations.

It called on the political and parties and forces to respond to calls for comprehensive national reconciliation and political solution by the national team.
