Al-Houthi welcomes drone attack against Aramco, condemns US

SANAA, Sept. 15 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council’s member Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Saturday welcomed the operation carried out by Yemeni army drones against Saudi Aramco oil facilities.

Commenting on Trump’s view of the attack as a threat to the US economy, al-Houthi said, in a tweet on Twitter, that the war on Yemen is American and that “the United States is the one who refuses to stop the aggression on Yemen.”

The Yemeni army carried out at dawn Saturday a large offensive operation, the second of its kind in a row, called the “second deterrence balance operation”, targeting Abqaiq and Khurais oil refineries by 10 Qasef-2K drones in the depth of Saudi Arabia, which led to the outbreak of fire and halted half of Saudi oil exports for the first time in decades.

Al-Houthi renewed his accusation against the US administration and President Donald Trump of running the Saudi-Emirati coalition war on Yemen, announced from Washington by the Saudi ambassador to the United States Adel al-Jubeir on March 26, 2015.

“America is facing all peace advocates, including Congress, and that what al-Jubeir and al-Maliki mean when they said that  the war is imposed on them,” he said.
