21 coalition mercenaries shot dead, 5 vehicles destroyed in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Sept. 10 (YPA) – At least 21 mercenaries of Saudi-led coalition were gunned down and five vehicles destroyed in less than 48 hours in operations carried out by the Yemeni army’s units and popular committees in fronts of Hajjah province, a military official said on Monday.

In a press statement, the official confirmed that nine mercenaries were shot dead by fire of the army snipers in Hiran and south of Haradh district in Hajjah.

This toll is added to three mercenaries of the coalition were gunned down in Medi desert on Monday, while nine others were shot dead on Sunday midnight.

Meanwhile, the army’s engineering unit on Monday ambushed three military vehicles belonging to the coalition mercenaries, which led to the killing and injuring of all those aboard.

According to the official, two military vehicles of the coalition were destroyed and another was damaged in Medi desert and western Muthallath Ahem and Haradh.

On Monday dawn, artillery and rocketry shelling targeted gatherings of the coalition mercenaries in fronts of Haradh, Hiran and Muthallath Ahem, which resulted in dead and wounded in their ranks, as well as destroying a vehicle and causing damage to another.
