Two Israeli drones shot down in southern suburbs of Beirut

SANAA, Aug. 25 (YPA) – Two Israeli drones was shot down on Sunday in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

A leader in Hezbollah said that the first drone was downed without being exploded, and media close to The Lebanese Hezbollah quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the group had taken control of it.

According to Lebanese media, the second drone exploded in the sky before it crashed in the southern suburb of Beirut.”

Reuters quoted a Hezbollah official as saying that the second plane caused damage when it crashed near Hezbollah’s media center, and residents said they heard an explosion in the suburbs.

No further information was immediately available.

“The Hezbollah will respond in a harsh manner at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon in an expected speech of the party’s secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah, in the town of Al Ain,” he said.

Eyewitnesses said that Hezbollah closed the streets leading to the place where the second drone fell.
