UAE-backed militia expel Hadi’s forces, control Zuqar Island

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The UAE-backed militias on Tuesday managed to expel Hadi’s forces loyal to Saudi Arabia from Yemeni Zuqar Island in the Red Sea and controlled the island.

Earlier in the day, soldiers affiliated to forces led by mercenary commander Tareq Saleh loyal to the UAE seized Zuqar Island, according to well-informed sources.

This comes two days after the same forces controlled Mayoun Island near the Strait of Ban al-Mandab in the Red Sea after expelling Hadi’s presidential protection forces loyal to Saudi Arabia from the island.
