Iraqi officer killed, 4 soldiers wounded in bombing south of Baghdad

SANAA, Aug. 7 (YPA) – An officer was killed and four Iraqi soldiers were wounded on Tuesday in an explosion targeting an army patrol south of Baghdad.

The “Alsumaria News” quoted a police source as saying that “an explosive device exploded targeting a patrol belonging to the 55th Brigade of the army in the Bou Amer area within the district of Radwaniyah.”

The source, who asked not to be named, said that “this resulted in” the killing of a major officer and wounding four.”
