Prisoners Committee Head: Coalition’s mercenaries in Taiz fail exchange deal for 130 prisoners

SANAA, Aug. 2 (YPA) –  Head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs and member of Sanaa negotiating delegation Abdulqader al-Mortada revealed that the coalition-backed mercenaries in Taiz fail an exchange deal for (130) prisoners, from both sides after a step of implementation.

Al-Mortada said, “After negotiations lasted more than a month, and we were  agreed on everything from lists, names, and even the time and place of exchange, and also after we moved their prisoners from Sanaa to Taiz to complete the process, which was scheduled to take place on 27/8/2019, but we were surprised by the delay of implementation for five days, and then surprised by their refusal to complete the process without knowing the reasons.

We confirm that this bad step by the traitors in Taiz is clear evidence of their disregard and indifference to their prisoners and their suffering since most of them have been imprisoned for more than three years, Al-Mortada added.
