SANAA, July 31 (YPA) – At least 34 people, including women and children, were killed on Wednesday when roadside bomb exploded and targeted a bus on the road between Herat and Kandahar, Afghanistan, Police said
” At least 34 passengers were killed and 17 others injured in the incident,” deputy of Herat Province spokesman said
The explosion occurred while a private company bus was travelling from Herat province to the Afghan capital, Kabul, added said.
Local authorities evacuated the dead and injured to hospitals in Herat province.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack. Taliban fighters are active in the area, using roadside bombs to target government officials and Afghan security forces, but sometimes civilians become victims.
