Earthquake hits Indonesian island of Bali

SANAA, July 16 (YPA) – A 6.1-magnitude earthquake under the sea shook Indonesia’s southern resort island of Bali on Tuesday, the European Seismological Agency said.

The epicenter of the quake occurred 102 km southwest of Denpasar in Bali and at a depth of 100 km, the agency said.

No tsunami warning was issued from the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

The US Geological Survey recorded a severe earthquake of 5.7 degrees.
