Telecommunications Ministry warns against using microwave devices, links
SANAA, July 11 (YPA) – The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology on Thursday warned financial companies, banks, money exchangers, firms, institutions, facilities and shops against using unlicensed microwave devices and links and operating them in violation of the laws in force.
In a statement, the Ministry called on the users of illegal microwave devices and accessories to remove those equipment and speed up the correction of their condition, warning traders and suppliers against importing, selling and trading microwave devices and links.
The statement emphasized the need to abide by the laws governing the services and equipment of telecommunication associated to the state sovereignty.
It stressed that any violation would subject the perpetrators to legal prosecution and their devices would be seized, based on the text of the telecommunications law and regulations in force and the Cabinet’s Resolution No. (35) for the year 2019.
The Ministry called upon the various bodies, companies and institutions to use the safe national network for messaging and interconnection, which preserves the security and safety of data and information systems and guarantees the rights of users.
