In Photos: 21 Tons of expired aid food seized in Amran province

AMRAN, July 10 (YPA) – Security forces in Amran province seized large quantity of contaminated aid food aboard a large truck, on Tuesday, before reaching the targets, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.

“A large locomotive was seized with a total of 1545 cartons weighing 21630 kilograms of soy, belonging to the World Food Program (WFP)،” the security official said.


“The Soy consignment (food for pregnant women and infants) is expired and seized before the distribution,” the official added.


Despite all the criticisms and protests, the World Food Programme insists on its working mechanism and the repeated the supplement of expired relief food items which is unfit for human consumption.
