Egyptian forces kill 47 terrorists in Sinai

SANAA, May 16 (YPA) – The General command of Egyptian Armed Forces on Thursday has announced the implementation of qualitative operations against takfirist elements in Sinai.

According to Statement issued by the Egyptian Armed Forces, Over 47 takfirist individuals were killed in an offensive carried out by Egyptian forces in Sinai northeast of Egypt

The army forces found in their possession a number of different caliber rifles and explosive devices for detonation in the north and central of Sinai, the statement read

The military engineers had discovered and detonated 385 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that were planted to target our forces on the roads to move into the area of operations, the statement read

The army forces further discovered and destroyed two tunnels in cooperation with the Egyptian border Guard forces.
