Gov’t committee discusses transition to practical application of national vision

SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – The governmental committee for steering the national vision for building the Yemeni modern state headed by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Monday discussed mechanisms to start the transition to the practical application of the vision.

The committee directed the executive office for managing the national vision to expedite the preparation of decisions to establish operational units within ministries to begin their activities and carry out their respective tasks according to the vision.

The committee stressed the importance of uniting governmental and local efforts in cooperation with the executive office to move from the theoretical tasks embodied in the vision to the institutional operational aspect.

The meeting reviewed a report of head of the executive office, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Mahmoud al-Junaid, on the preliminary tasks carried out by the committee since its formation.

The report included results of meetings of the Office with a number of ministries with main responsibilities to implement the vision, such as civil service and insurance, finance, planning, international cooperation, public health and population.

The report pointed to the pivotal role of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in absorbing the ministerial and local plans under which the government’s executive plan will be prepared.
