PM discusses emergency needs of IDPs in Hodeida

SANAA, April 5 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Aziz Saleh bin Habtoor on Thursday headed a meeting in the capital Sanaa to discuss emergency needs of internal displaced people (IDPs) to the western port city of Hodeida.

In the meeting, a preliminary report of the Local Administration Ministry on the humanitarian tragedy faced by IDPs from the southern coast of Hodeida due to the aggression was reviewed.

The report emphasized the IDPs’ urgent needs to humanitarian relief in various aspects, including shelter, food and essential services, calling on the government to intervene urgently in coordination with various humanitarian organizations to reduce their suffering.

During the meeting, a working group was formed from several ministers to visit Hodaida province to see the tragedy of the displaced and identify their necessary humanitarian needs in order to work on providing them urgently in partnership with the concerned humanitarian organizations.
