President meets UN Special Envoy for Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, on Monday met with the special envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen Martin Griffiths.

During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen as a result of the escalation of the Saudi-led aggression coalition in Hodeidah province.

The meeting addressed aspects related to the collapse of  Geneva consultations on Yemen, as well as arrangements for holding an upcoming round of consultations to resume the political process and bring peace to Yemen.

The meeting was attended by was attended by parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali al-Rahi and Prime Minister  Abdulaziz bin Habtoor.
