Demonstrations held in America for the release of Palestinian doctors from Israeli prisons

CHICAGO, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The Palestinian community and human rights organizations held a stand in front of the American Medical Association headquarters in Chicago to demand the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safieh, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, who has been detained since December 2024 without trial, and the rest of the Palestinian medical staff.

Participants raised banners demanding protection for medical workers and pressure to reveal their conditions, as part of actions in American cities to keep the issue alive.

According to the Palestinian Center for the Defense of Prisoners, in July, 16 Palestinian doctors remain detained in harsh conditions, including solitary confinement, denial of visits, and medical neglect.
