QUDS, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Two Palestinians were killed and 44 others sustained varying degrees of injuries as a result of 1,684 violations committed by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank over the past week.
In a statistical report made by the Palestinian Information Center (Muata) on Friday, Muata said the escalating violations took place from September 11 through Thursday evening. They included the arrest and detention of 272 Palestinians, 245 raids into Palestinian cities, villages and towns, and 70 demolitions and destruction of Palestinian homes and property.
The report said Israeli forces and settlers also carried out 107 restrictions at checkpoints, 27 shooting incidents, 140 settlement activities and settler’s attacks, 191 home raids, 367 property confiscations, five assaults and beatings, nine violations targeting holy sites, two violations targeting education, eight cases of forced displacement, and 195 area closures.
Israeli occupation forces have continued to escalate attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank alongside the genocide and starvation campaign they have been carrying out in the Gaza Strip for nearly three years.
