GAZA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the 104th consecutive day, while maintaining a strict siege on the territory and keeping crossings closed.
Since the early hours of Thursday, the occupation forces carried out nine new violations of the “Gaza ceasefire,” including artillery and aerial bombings and gunfire from military vehicles across various parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting eastern Khan Younis in the south, Deir al-Balah and the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, extending to Gaza City and Jabalia in the north.
The airstrikes coincided with artillery shelling and heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles east of Khan Younis, Gaza City, and Bureij, in addition to the demolition of homes east of Bani Suheila in southern Gaza.
Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire on the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Since the ceasefire came into effect (October 11), the total number of martyrs has reached 477, in addition to 1,300 wounded, while the total number of bodies recovered stands at 713 martyrs.
