Protest held in Sweida to demand disclosure of abductees’ fate

DAMASCUS, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Dozens of protesters in Sweida governorate, southern Syria, held a protest on Saturday, demanding information on the fate of those abducted and detained by the Syrian Transitional Government forces.

The demonstrators gathered in Dignity Square, holding banners calling for swift official clarification regarding the fate of the abductees, and holding the relevant authorities responsible for what they described as disappearances and violations that accompanied the events of last July.

This protest is part of the ongoing popular movement in Sweida, where residents continue to organize protests to emphasize their demands for rights, foremost among them ending violations, alleviating the suffering of the governorate’s residents, and guaranteeing their civil and political rights.
