QUNETRA, Dec. 18 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces staged a new incursion into southwestern Syria’s Quneitra province, Alekhbariah Syria Channel reported.
According to the channel, Israeli occupied tanks and bulldozers advanced into the village of Ma‘allaqa in southern Quneitra countryside.
Earlier, Israeli occupation forces arrested a civilian while he was grazing sheep on the road connecting the villages of Al-Rafid and Al-Mashida in southern Quneitra.
These violations are part of repeated and ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian sovereignty, which have continued since the fall of Assad regime on December 8, 2024.
“Israel” took advantage of the resulting security vacuum, occupying vast areas in southern Syria and carrying out multiple airstrikes across the country, peaking with the targeting of the Ministry of Defense building in Damascus.
