QUDS, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Dozens of Zionist settlers raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, the Palestinian Safa News Agency, reported citing the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem).
According to the agency, the Zionist settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups from the direction of the Mughrabi Gate, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals.
Meanwhile, the occupation police forces imposed strict restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, checking their ID at the gates and preventing many from entering the mosque.
Calls continue from Jerusalemite groups urging people to mobilize, remain steadfast, and maintain a presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
These calls emphasize the importance of a strong turnout for prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque after its reopening, as an effective response to the occupation’s measures and attempts to sever the mosque from its religious and community context.
Daily incursions and violations by settlers and Israeli forces target Al-Aqsa Mosque—excluding Fridays and Saturdays—in an apparent attempt to alter its status quo and impose a temporal and spatial division.
