MUSCAT, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, held several meetings in Muscat to discuss the economic crisis and peace efforts in Yemen.
According to what the envoy’s office published on the “X,” Grundberg met with senior Omani officials and discussed the necessary measures to address the economic crisis and respond to regional developments. He also discussed strengthening commitments to a comprehensive political process in Yemen.
The UN envoy presented his briefing on Yemen to the Security Council on October 15, and said that “concrete steps must be taken towards peace.”
“Yemen needs unified goals at this time more than ever before,” he added.
The UN envoy noted that the hopes of the international community depend on resolving conflicts through diplomacy, calling on the Security Council to join hands to stop the bloodshed and support all efforts made to achieve peace in Yemen.
