US’s representative to UN ignores his Palestinian counterpart during his speech
WORLD, Dec. 09 (YPA) – The behavior of the US representative to the United Nations, Robert Wood, during the speech of the Palestinian representative Ibrahim Kharashi on Friday, Sparked wide anger among social media activists.
The video showed the American representative browsing his phone when his Palestinian counterpart began talking about the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip.
Kharashi said: “The Israeli occupation army destroyed hospitals, killed civilians, and put every possible barrier to the access of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,.”
He stressed the need for immediate approval of the Security Council to call on “Israel” for a ceasefire.”
The UN Security Council failed to pass a draft resolution demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, after the United States vetoed the resolution.
The draft resolution calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stresses the need for the immediate and unconditional release of all detainees and to ensure humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.
