Official assassinated in Shabwa

SHABWA, Dec. 14 (YPA) – An official of the Central Bank of Yemen in the city of Ataq of Shabwa province was assassinated on Tuesday by unknown gunmen.

According to local sources, the gunmen opened fire on the citizen, Saleh Ahmed Salem Sultan Al-Khulaifi, in front of the gate of the bank and fled.

The dead man belonged to the “Al Khalifa” tribe, which governor of Aden, “Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, appointed by the Saudi-led coalition, belonged to, in that a number of its sons were subjected to assassinations earlier, in light of accusations that Islah militants being behind these operations.
