SANAA, April.1 (YPA) – Minister of State, Head of the National Committee for Women Radia Abdullah and the Secretary of the Capital Hamoud Abbad, launched on Saturday in Sanaa “ Khairat center” for training and productive families development with the support of Bonyan Development Foundation.
The Center aims to empowering women in income-generating areas and achieving self-sufficiency by providing skills and expertise in the fields of handicrafts, sewing, embroidery, accessories, food processing, waste recycling, home agriculture and computer literacy.
Head of the National Committee for Women Radia Abdullah praised the role played by Bonyan Foundation over three years of aggression in various fields.
She pointed out that the Foundation added to its balance of attention to women cadres through the opening of Khairat Center.
For his part, Secretary of the Capital Hamoud Aobad stressed the importance of the role played by Bonyan in the service of society, saying that Bonyan Foundation is taking great strides towards building a capable economy to meet the needs of the Yemeni family and markets.
Aobad pointed to the importance to empowering women economically, especially in light of the current situation in which the country is subjected to aggression and blockade.
