Aggression on Yemen exacerbates humanitarian suffering :Shura member

SANAA, March 22 (YPA) – Chairman of the Economic Committee in the Shura Council Amin Atef on Thursday said that the continuation of aggression on Yemen exacerbates living conditions of citizens, and increases patients’ suffering due to obstruction of access of medical supplies.

“We are heading in the fifth year of the aggression towards the expansion of agriculture in order to achieve self-sufficiency in food,” Atef told Yemen Press Agency.

“The aggression countries (Saudi-led coalition) seek to starve the Yemeni people, and double the humanitarian catastrophe by holding and blocking vessels of oil derivatives and not allowing them to enter the port of Hodeidah,” he added.

Atef pointed out that the criminal war launched by the aggression countries on Yemen aims to control the ports and all the wealth and economic resources of the country.

He called on all the people in the Yemeni southern provinces to liberate their areas from the UAE occupation, which serves the US-Zionist project in the region.
