SANAA, 24 (YPA) – At least five people were killed on Wednesday evening after a gunman opened fire at a bank in a small town of central Florida in USA.
According to Reuters agency, the police chief of Sebring town Karl Hooglund said in a news conference that the suspect, identified as Zevin Zafer, 21, entered Sun Trust Bank in the town, about 152 km south of Orlando, at 12:30 pm (17:30 GMT), and started shooting, killing five people.
The police said that after unsuccessful attempts to persuade him to leave the bank, a special forces squad entered the building and continued to speak with the gunman until he surrendered afterwards.
No details were provided on the victims. It was not clear if there were other casualties at the bank.
