SANAA – Saudi Arabia is seeking to supply ISIS in Syria with weapons containing depleted uranium, Pakistani Daily Dunya reported on Monday.

According to the report, Saudi Arabia has purchased the weapons from Pakistan.

Saudi move came after ISIS has been inflicted heavy losses  by the Syrian national army.

“Saudi Arabia is seeking to hand over advanced weapons to the criminal groups in Syria to create a military balance between the Syrian army and those groups that are suffering heavy casualties in the battlefronts,” Gary Samore, the executive director for research at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Kennedy School of Harvard University was quoted as saying.
