SANAA, Nov. 2 (YPA) – Seven Egyptian Coptic were killed on Friday when gunmen opened fire on a bus in Minya (250 km south of Cairo), According to the Bishop General in Abba Makarios province.
The Bishop pointed out that «gunmen attacked the bus, which was coming from the province of Sohag on its way to the monastery of St. Samuel in Minya in southern Egypt».
The Minya governor’s office confirmed the deaths of seven people and 13 people were injured, pointing out that security and government officials went to the scene of the accident, while the Directorate of Health in Minya it declared a state of emergency in public hospitals in three cities nearby, to receive the injured and treatment.
