Parliament continues to discuss public, private sectors partnership bill

SANAA, Sept.30 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Sunday continued to discussed articles and provisions of the draft law on the public and private sectors partnership in the light of the Trade and Industry Committee’s report.

The bill aims at providing a legal framework regulating the process of partnership between the public and private sectors in infrastructure projects on the basis of balance of interests and distribution of risks.

It also aims to regulate the process of supervision and control of the partnership procedures so as to ensure their safety and the preservation of public funds and the public interest.

The vote on this bill in its final form is expected to be at the coming meeting of the parliament.
