20 gunmen of Somali Youth Movement in joint military operation : U.S. army

WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 (YPA) – The U.S. army said that 20 gunmen of the Somali Youth movement (SYM) killed in conjoint US-Somali operation targeting their sites in Kismayo coast city.

The U.S. military leadership in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) said in a statement that the US warplane wage an airstrike on these site after the US troops and the partner forces were attacked.

18 gunmen were killed in the airstrike, while two others were killed by the fire of the Somali forces.
