Yemen welcomes new UN envoy

SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni Foreign Ministry on Saturday welcomed the appointment of Martin Griffiths as the United Nations Secretary-General special envoy to Yemen, in a statement received by Yemen Press Agency.

The ministry hoped the new envoy to exert all efforts to help the Yemeni parties reachiung a political settlement and end the Saudi-led coalition war on Yemen and to lift the all-out blockade.
