Yemen army repels 3 infiltration attempts of Saudi-backed militia in Asir

ASIR, Aug. 20 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Monday repelled thee infiltration attempts of the Saudi-backed militia in Asir border province, Southern Saudi Arabia, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Dozens of the militia were killed and injured during their attempts to advance towards al-Massanie, Alra’s and Eurif Mountains, the official confirmed.

Meanwhile, the artillery forces shelled gatherings of the Saudi army and its militia off Alib border crossing, causing direct casualties.

The official added that the US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes waged over 14 air strikes to back it militia but without making any progress on the ground.
