Meteorology forecasts rainfall across several Yemeni provinces

SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, across parts of several provinces over the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center said rain of varying intensity are expected in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Mahwit, Hajjah and Socotra, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain and western coast.

Scattered rainfall is also expected in parts of Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Dhamar, Amran and Saada provinces.

The center warned citizens and motorists against staying in valleys and flood channels and urged them to exercise caution during thunderstorms.

It also advised people to avoid elevated areas and locations near metal structures and tall trees and refrain from using mobile phones.
