Recruit wounded in drone attack on pro-UAE factions in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The UAE-funded southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions were subjected to aerial bombardment in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, wounding a recruit.

Sources familiar with that the matter said a drone believed to belong to pro-Saudi armed factions targeted military mobilizations for the STC in the Khashm Al-Ain area of Al-Abr district, following Saudi warnings to the elements not to advance militarily towards the international road leading to the border crossing of Al-Wadiya.

Spokesman of the STC factions, Mohammed Al-Naqib, admitted that the STC’s elements in the Hadramout were subjected to a hostile terrorist act using an armed drone.

Al-Naqib described as the terrorist act in the province was an extension of a series of terrorist attacks suffered by the STC factions in the areas of Wadi Omran in the district of Mudiyah in Abyan province, and also areas of Masina’a, and Arin in Shabw province.

This act came following the intensive flight of Saudi warplanes over the past two days over the districts of Wadi Hadramout.

An airstrike was carried out last Wednesday on the AL-Khasha camp, which has been controlled by pro-UAE STC elements since early December.
